Clinical Study Finds 16 Percent of Diabetic Ulcers will Lead to Amputation

A study published in 2007 by prominent clinicians in the journal, Diabetes Care, indicated that of patients presenting with diabetic foot ulcers 71.5 % healed, 12.3 % experienced delay in healing, and 16 % experienced a lower-limb amputation.
